Coffee Mornings are held every two months at the Child Support and Resource Center. They are open to any family in which one or both parents is a non-Japanese, in order to support foreign and bicultural families raising children in Nagasaki.
The Coffee mornings provide an informal atmosphere and meeting place for parents to make friends, exchange information, share worries and advice. Students from our department training to be nursery school teachers take care of the children, giving parents the chance to relax and talk over a cup of coffee. Special events include Halloween, Christmas and Easter parties. Children have a chance to play with other children like themselves and to experience non-Japanese traditions.
If you are a foreigner raising children in the area, please come and join us! For more information contact Karen Masatsugu, karen@kwassui.ac.jp, 095-822-4107 (ext.463) |
